Doug Spain
Operations Manager
Doug is a highly esteemed member of our team who brings over three decades of expertise in the boiler industry. Doug began his career as a dedicated Boiler Technician in the US Navy from 1982-1989. Throughout his service, he excelled, rising through the ranks from Boiler Operator to Oil King in the oil lab, eventually earning the prestigious position of Boiler Room Supervisor. In this role, he was entrusted with the operation and maintenance of multiple high-pressure boilers and their auxiliary equipment on two separate ships. After completing his service in the US Navy, he has continued in the boiler installation/repair industry. He has worked in various roles, including Project Manager, Quality Control/Safety Manager, Estimator, Construction Manager and Operations Manager. Today, Doug is a 1/3rd Owner of Fire Power Boiler Industries, where he leads a team of up to 30 employees. His responsibilities include cost estimation of projects, overseeing Q.C./Safety, and managing our boiler rental fleet of 18 boilers. With his extensive experience and knowledge, Doug is excited to share his expertise with our valued customers at FPBI.
David Mayo
Service Manager
David is a well-respected and seasoned professional in the boiler industry with over 20 years of experience under his belt. Starting as a technician in 1999, David has since expanded his skill set by studying Electrical Engineering at JTT and working with CNC equipment at Dragers Fabrication Inc. Throughout his career, David has honed his expertise in servicing and maintaining a variety of burner controls, including Fireye, AutoFlame, Honeywell, and Siemens. His deep knowledge and vast experience make him an invaluable asset to the industry, and clients from all sectors seek his services. David currently holds two important roles in our company. He is 1/3 Owner and also serves as a service Manager for our Technical Department. His exceptional commitment to achieving excellence and his proactive approach in keeping up with industry advancements make him a valuable member of our tea and a highly regarded leader in the field. Larry Roswell

Larry is a highly experienced professional in the boiler industry, having dedicated over 30 years to his craft. Throughout his career, he has honed his skills in troubleshooting and tuning large combustion and control systems, as well as overseeing the commissioning of new equipment. With his extensive knowledge and expertise, Larry has held a range of positions in the field, from senior start-up technician to general manager of one of the largest boiler companies in the US. Currently, Larry is proud to serve as one of the 1/3 owners of our business, where he continues to play a vital role in our success. His primary focus is on engineering, equipment specifications, and technical support, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and quality products. We are grateful to have Larry on our team and value the contributions he makes every day to our company’s mission.
Richard Ware
Project Manager
Richard Ware is an accomplished Project Manager at Fire Power Boiler Industries, LLC, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing various projects related to boiler leak repairs and new and used boiler installations. With his exceptional leadership skills, Richard serves as a reliable supervisor, ensuring the seamless execution of projects and delivering high-quality results.
As the company liaison for clientele, Richard actively engages with clients to understand their unique requirements and provide tailored solutions to enhance the services offered. His dedication to customer satisfaction and strong communication skills make him an invaluable asset in maintaining positive client relationships.
Before joining Fire Power Boiler Industries, Richard served in the U.S. Army as a parachute Rigger, honing his attention to detail and commitment to precision. With over 20 years of experience, Richard has held various positions in the boiler industry, including Pipe and Tube Welder, Supervisor, and Foreman. This extensive background has equipped him with a deep understanding of the intricacies of boiler systems and the expertise to overcome challenges efficiently.
Mauricio “Moe” Nava
QA/QC & Safety Manager
Mauricio “Moe” Nava is a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Quality Assurance/Quality Control & Safety at Fire Power Boiler Industries, LLC. With a career spanning over 35 years in the Petrochemical, Nuclear, and Boiler Industries, Moe brings a wealth of expertise to his role.
Moe’s extensive industry knowledge encompasses quality assurance and quality control processes, mechanical integrity, and heavy heat exchanger operations. This broad skill set enables him to effectively ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, guaranteeing the highest levels of quality and safety.
In addition to his technical proficiency, Moe possesses exceptional management and administrative skills. He excels in coordinating and overseeing multifaceted projects, streamlining processes, and optimizing efficiency. By adhering to strict timelines and budgets, he ensures projects are completed successfully while maintaining the utmost quality standards.

James Alvie Wagner III
Construction Manager
James Alvie Wagner III is a highly skilled and versatile professional serving as Construction Manager. With expertise in Maintenance Planning, Equipment Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, and Troubleshooting and Problem Solving, James oversees various crucial aspects including Quotes, Ordering, Receiving Purchase Orders, Job Planning, Employee Training, and Ordering Parts. His broad range of responsibilities ensures efficient operations and utmost customer satisfaction.
Leveraging his extensive experience, James actively assists customers in identifying their equipment and service requirements to meet their specific demands. With meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of industry intricacies, he provides tailored solutions that align perfectly with customer needs.
Before his current role, James served in the United States Navy as a Boiler Technician and Construction Mechanic, honing invaluable skills and a strong work ethic. Throughout his career, he has excelled as a Boilermaker, specializing in new construction and Bull Rigging equipment. He has also served as a Welding Inspector for Marine Oil Rigs and Cranes, operated an Off-line Ultrasonic Weld Line Unit, and conducted inspections on new and used Oilfield pipes while working on NDT mobile equipment.
James’s extensive background and diverse skill set make him an indispensable asset to our customers. His comprehensive knowledge of the industry, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to excellence, ensures that customer needs are met efficiently and effectively.
